When beginning your online dating journey, one of the first things you’ll do is create your profile. Depending on the site/app, this will consist of photos and some sort of text.

What’s in your profile is integral in creating a safe matching experience!

Some Guidelines we think are helpful:

Keep any identifiable information off of your profile (occupation, address, email, phone number, last name)
Show your personality! Throw in a pun, a poem, or a lyric that you can relate to.. make it fun!
Avoid negativity (Swipe left if.. or you should*not* go out with me if..)
Include some current photos that show your interests/hobbies

It’s important to know what you are looking for and to communicate that, but you can discover so much about a person by having a conversation with them after you get to know them. The only person who needs to know what your goal is, for now, is you.
